My Week In Pole: February 6, 2015

February 6, 2015 by admin Leave a Comment

Some of my favorites from the week. Legs aren’t always straight and toes aren’t always pointed, so next week I need to polish these. Loving Ching’s fake Bird of Paradise-pulled a glute muscle last year and my front splits haven’t been the same since but this disguises it! Also loving the back handspring with one hand on the pole-taught by Margarita and created by Tehera (I think). My other favorite moves from the week were, of course, taught in Crystal’s Pre-Professional class. Always amazing stuff in her class!

Not on the video-spent some time trying to work on my Phoenix, but it’s early in the process. My dominant reverse grab is on my right and my dominant handspring is on my left, so I’ve been trying the Phoenix on both sides to see which is easiest. Hoping to have it by next month as a birthday present to myself! Reminder to my students-always work everything on both sides so you don’t run into these problems later on!

Did a workshop with the fabulous Seanmichael Rau took classes with Crystal, Ching and Triana and did some open pole. All in all I did about 20 hours in the studio this week. Feels good to be back in training mode again!

Took some classes this week with Crystal, Ching and Triana and did some open pole. Learned some new things and reworking some others… They all need a bit of polishing, but it feels good to be in training mode again!
